Our Take: We love comics here at the Legion. Marvel...Dc..Darkhorse, we don't discriminate. Spider-man is one of the most iconic Marvel heroes and this new DK book focuses on Spidey's extensive past. DK is well known for producing great guides for cartoons and comic books. This one, written by Matthew Manning, is masterfully produced and well put together. He covers all of the key characters and key plots with ease and so well organizes the extensive amount of material that we can easily learn all we need to know to get caught up to modern-day Spidey! A few of the characters, like Venom, have changed SO drastically in the past 15 years that you need book like this just to keep up! We highly recommend this one, especially with the new Spider-Man film coming out soon...no better time to brush up on your friendly neighborhood webhead!
