Our Take: Disney Press gives us another fantastic book. This is the novelization of the new Disney / Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland...well...sequel. I know what you're thinking..an Alice In Wonderland sequel?! A story continuation to be exact. If anyone can pull this off, its Tim Burton. He was born to direct this film.
The novelization is hardcover with very stunning artwork and the movie logo on the cover. The pages are all peforated at the ends, giving the book a very classic look. The pages have small sketches of the various charcters strewn about in an old-world fashion.
The actual reading is very light. Its well laid out and easy to read. I blew through it in just over an hour. You're probably wondering, how much like the movie is this book?! This book is the movie, so beware of the spoilers! The story is really fun..I won't be posting spoilers here, but suffice to say that this new story really delves into the aftermath of what happened to Wonderland and gives Alice and the Mad Hatter an interesting relationship dynamic.
