Our Take: We're located in the midwest here at the Legion.  Right in the middle of the country.  We have taken a number of trips to Chicago over the years, as its about 8 hours away, and they've been some of the best trips of our lives.   My wife and I have had a blast out there, even amidst the adversity of the 'big city'.   We're not exactly farm folk, but we were blown away by the city's scale at first.  The el train was an amazing experience and dealing with the locals was....interesting to say the least.  When we went there we stuck to the Clark and Belmont Wrigleyville area mostly.  This was back between 1999 and 2001, so there was a lot of the rave culture still going on, which we were deeply connected to.

Nowadays, I'd have NO idea where to go in Chicago.  Even back then, I stuck to one area, because I didn't really have a good guide out there or the time to research all of the things to do.  If only I'd had the little black book of Chicago!  This little guide has everything from fold-out maps to complete information on restaurants and attractions!  This is exactly what I needed and be rest assured I'll have it in my pocket the next time we get out to chi-town!  If you're planning a trip to Chicago anytime soon, pick this one up immediately, its a lifesaver!
